Sid Ali Boudina

Newly vice-world champion in indoor rowing, Sid Ali Boudina is a 31 years old rower from Algiers. His record includes several gold and silver medals from the African Rowing Championships but long before that, he started his career in swimming at a very young age to change his path to rowing at 16 after 10 years of swimming. He then joined the Algerian national rowing team a year later in 2008, to embark on this challenging trail.

His first Olympics participation was in the summer of 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, it was then followed by his achievement in the last African Games in 2019 when he won a silver medal in the lightweight skiff sprint.

He celebrated his second Olympic qualification as part of the delegation that represented Algeria in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2021. He also qualified for the Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games, where he counts on winning a step on the podium to honour the colours of his country, Algeria.
