Welcome to the official website of the Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games

The great champion Florent Manaudou in Oran!

The Olympic champion Florent Manaudou will be present in Oran this summer. The hexagonal daily newspaper “Ouest France” has taken up a statement of the swimmer where he announced his participation in the next Mediterranean Games of Oran which will take place from June 25 to July 5, 2022.

The postponement of the World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka (Japan), initially scheduled for May 2022 and rescheduled for July 2023 due to the health crisis related to the Covid pandemic benefit the organization of the Mediterranean Event. Flaurent Manaudou remains focused on his return to competition, looking forward to his first participation in the Mediterranean Games.

Florent Manaudou

“At first I thought it would change a lot of things and in the end I would like to participate in the Mediterranean Games, which I have never done. I don’t want to do the Euros, it’s really too late (August 11-21 in Rome). Frankly, I think it will be hard for me to stay focused all August in training knowing that everyone around me will be on vacation.

Other champions expected

If the organizing committee plays its cards right, it can hope to attract other great champions for the beauty of the competition and the pleasure of the thousands of fans expected.

Oran 2022 promises to be a great sporting event. We welcome the swimmer Florent Manaudou and look forward to seeing him in the water pool of the new Olympic complex in the capital of Western Algeria.
